Due to our ability to manufacture bespoke sizes, we have recently received a number of enquiries about our expertise in structural beam fabrication.
Bespoke fabrication means that whatever building project is being contemplated, if structural beams are a requirement, the architect can design to the space available, rather than be restricted to off the shelf sizes available from a builders merchant.
Any shape any length
Because of the size of our workshop, we can manufacture beams of up to 100ft in length. Our fabricators have the skills and expertise to manufacture and assemble cranked beams, tee beams, single beam and single channel beams.
For more heavier duty load bearing projects, we can manufacture double beams and channels as well as corner lintels and picture frame beams.
In a nutshell, if it is made in steel, we have the skills and expertise to manufacture and fabricate the metal structure you need.
Manufactured to CE standard
We are currently working towards achieving the CE standard, which means that our work is already to the equivalent standard.
Working with architects and builders
We work with you to understand the load bearing weights and wind resistance levels and interpret engineers’ drawings and sketches to manufacture the structural steel beams required to support your designs.
Our metal fabricators are fully skilled and able to read and interpret engineering diagrams and blueprints. We use modern techniques and mechanical engineering fabrication software and equipment to ensure our metalwork meets the exact design specifications.

Next Plc Eastbourne
We recently installed structural beams to the roof space of the extension of the new Next store in Eastbourne to accommodate an Atrium as well as to support acoustic roof panels to ensure noise from heating and ventilation units on the roof did not cause noise disturbances to local residents.
Argos Concessions in Sainsburys
Structural steelwork manufactured and installed by Essential Fabrications has created the framework to enable the Argos concessions store in a brand new Chesterfield Sainsburys superstore to be partitioned off with wall displays which make the Argos brand stand out from the rest of the store.
Domestic extension
A local architect contacted us as he was designing an extension for a house and wanted to use all available external space to maximise the internal size of the new rooms.
We have also manufactured bespoke size structural beams for many other domestic and commercial building projects across the UK.
Timescales and delivery
We will work with you to agree project timescales – though ideally we’d like time to schedule works, if you have an urgent job we can also help.
We manufacture everything in house and can deliver to site or you can arrange collection. We also have a fully certified building site installation team who can work on your project to install the beams if required.
