A major event management and concert organiser needed a helical staircase manufacturing for a music festival stage.

Based in Newark, the Lizz Hobbs Group is one of the country’s leading producers of concerts and events. Working with some the world’s greatest venues the group delivers innovative event solutions to a list of national and international clients such as leading sportswear brand Adidas and global automobile manufacturer Mercedes Benz.

The Lizz Hobbs Group approached Essential Fabrications to design and build a bespoke helical staircase that would be used as a prop for an upcoming music festival stage. The finished staircase had to be capable of hiding insets for LED lighting and electrical fittings as well as illuminated stair treads.

Commenting on the project, Essential Fabrications, Managing Director Eliot Saxton said “This was a very exciting project for Essential Fabrications to take on. The design brief provided was very specific in terms of the requirements, but still enabled our design specialists to be very creative in terms of how we incorporated the LED lighting into the staircase. I am very proud of the result and will hopefully look forward to seeing this bespoke staircase on festival stages up and down the country.”
